CitizensFirst has always recognized its responsibility to our
member's privacy. The details of our commitment to protecting
your privacy are documented in our Privacy
Policy. Some examples of possible actions in our privacy
policy that may affect you include, but are not limited to:
We may ask you to authorize a release of information before
we provide it to a third party. For example, if we receive
a request for a loan pay-off amount from a car dealer, or another
financial, who claims you are making a loan application, we
may require your signed authorization before we provide that
information.
The privacy policy allows you the right to submit an opt-out
request. Your opt-out request asks us not to disclose
your personal information to certain non-affiliated third parties
or with our affiliates.
Can I stop receiving mailings from CitizensFirst Credit Union?
No. There are certain items we are required to send, like
monthly and quarterly statements and certain disclosures.
We may also periodically send you information on products and
services that we think may be of interest to you. None of
these items falls under the opt-out option.
When you receive mail or phone solicitations from businesses
with which you have not established a relationship, those businesses
typically get your information from companies that compile lists
for purchase. You can request to have your name removed
from those lists. To do so, send a written request with
your name, address and telephone number to the organizations listed
below. These organizations are responsible for notifying
the companies that compile lists for purchase. Be sure to
include all versions of your name that appear in mailings or from
calls you receive. You must register your own name, address
and telephone number directly with each organization.
